There are old rules for the old ways of publishing. If you want to live by the old rules, it is certainly an option. Sup chew.* But, if you choose to live that way, then stay off the Internet.
If you are on the Internet, your stuff is going to be used by others. Get used to it.
Pirates should give credit to the originators of works. That is good form. But they should continue to pillage and pilfer. Argggg.
